Borneo 2019 Sept Image Highlights

A few weeks ago I led another excellent expedition to Borneo for Natural Habitat Adventures. We were blessed with great weather, a super fun group, and as always, amazing wildlife sightings. Here are a few that stand out:

Crested fireback, Danum Valley

The closest I have ever been to a red giant flying squirrel, Danum Valley

lantern bug! The most beautiful bug I have ever seen.

An amazing encounter with Western Tarsier on a night walk in Danum Valley!

Pig-tailed macaques grooming, Kinabatangan River.

I wonder why we are the only primates with huge canines. Pig-tailed Macaque. Kinabatangan

We were super lucky to see pygmy elephants on the Kinabatangan River. There had not been any sightings by our local guide in a month!

We had some spectacular orangutan encounters!!! This was at Semengoh, were I normally get my best orangutan images.
