One of my favorite aspects of warm climates is the sound of frogs and toads calling at night. Borneo is home to 156 known species of frogs and toads, which is quite impressive. Arkansas, where I live, is known for its amphibian diversity, and only has 23 species. Below is a video showing a little footage and images of frogs, with natural sounds of a frog pond in the Danum Valley, I collected while guiding Borneo expeditions there. If you like frogs, I know you will enjoy it! Notice about halfway through the magnificent Jade Tree Frog—which was translucent when we shined a light from behind it. Some of the frogs are from Mulu National Park, and the rest are from the Danum Valley.
Keep exploring and appreciating all creatures great and small!
